We’re the Lara family & we’re stoked you’re here. We started as a family of 5—Ben, Christen, Sydney, Bayley, & Curren. We added Jason, Parker, & Charlie (Bayley’s husband & daughters). We’re a family that loves community & all things outdoors—surfing, skating, hiking, camping, riding motorcycles, & adventuring.
We started Curren’s Garage to honor the life & legacy of our son & brother, Curren, who passed away in a motorcycle accident on March 8, 2023, nine days after his 25th birthday. Curren made everyone feel loved from all walks of life. He was funny, creative, thankful, & adventurous. He was also a mechanic & surfer who could often be found in his garage creating, fixing, & modifying his motorcycles, cars, & surfboards.
Our vision for the Curren’s Garage brand is to inspire others to “live free” by chasing their passions, expressing their creativity & living life to the fullest. We also want to encourage others to “stay stoked” by living with gratitude & seeing the good in the world. In essence, we are inspired to love + live like Curren did.
We’re starting out by selling clothing that allows folks to rep our vision & keep Curren’s spirit alive. Our bigger dream is to open up a coffee shop that will embrace Curren’s interests- cars, motorcycles, & surfing. We hope to create an inclusive, comforting, & inspiring space where people can come alone or with others & be welcomed with the spirit of Aloha. We want people from all walks of life to feel like family because that’s how Curren loved & lived. Join us on our journey!
